Lucy vs. Monet | FD5187

*possible spoiler alert*

As I stated earlier, their first match was close and when it seemed Lucy was losing the battle, she would result to slapping to gain control. Apparently, this wasn't in the rules for their first match and took Monet by surprise. Which leads us to the continued drama in this second match between the veteran Lucy and the confident and cool Monet.

The power struggle between the two is very intense to watch. Lucy, with her 6-7 years (?) of experience is able to squeeze and stretch Monet in the beginning. After the first point, Lucy does not release Monet and proceeds to apply a face sit. It seems Lucy is aware of Monet's strength and has to "cheat" to weaken her opponent. After each point, The battle continues with each girl choosing the type of submission or pin the need to win that round. Towards the end, Lucy has to resort to cheating once again to hold back Monet. These two obviously do not like each other. It is always good to see Monet continue to fight hard in every aspect of the match. The question remains, What can Monet do when her opponent cheats? Highly recommend this match.

Hi Mel ! I downloaded this match but I have yet to watch it. I am glad to hear that it is a balanced fight. Their first match together was somewhat close until Lucy had to resort to face slapping to get the upper hand. It sounds like Monet is back stronger and I really believe that if she adjusts her technique, she will be a true force. She is always determined and that is what I love about her. Thank you for sharing your feelings on this match !

Hello FD fans. Lucy+Monet's real rivalry can be seen throughout the film, especially at the end. I was very surprised by their match. I did not expect the balance of their forces.
