Magdalena vs. Waldemar | FD2719

One of the best mixed matches in the history of FD. It has everything I'm looking for in a mixed match: a strong, skilled guy who shows no mercy to his female opponent, a very high score, and a brave, spirited woman who shows a lot of heart, even near the end when some of Waldemar's scissors cause her visible pain. To me a woman losing but not giving up against a man twice her size is more genuinely empowering than a woman easily winning against a weak or unwilling to give her trouble man. This and Katharina vs. Waldemar are exceptional for pretty much the same reasons. 5 stars.

Waldemar was proven too much for Magdalena, but in her mixed wrestling debut she showed no fear for a heavier and stronger male opponent. Even though the guy won fair and square, the final score is a bit deceptive as Magdalena was in charge more often than what the score shows. Overall it a was a promising performance by her, I expect to see her against a weaker opponent in the near future and against stronger opponents like Waldemar later, when she will ahve the skill to compete against them.
